As summer nears its end, it’s typical to try squeezing every last bit of summer flavor to a pulp; something Munich-based brand, A Kind of Guise, understands.
In attempts to breathe fresh air into its Ultraboost collective, adidas Consortium has teamed up with AKOG as its first of many planned collaborations to completely revamp the now staple Ultraboost design. Drawing inspiration from lemon groves and the Mediterranean coastline which surround the brand’s "fictional high-performance hideaway-the AKOG Athletic Club”, the shoe features a chalk white Primeknit upper, while a raised, wave-like effect adds a unique detail. It also includes an uncaged construction and wide, wraparound tonal lacing in order to accentuate the distinctively modern textures. Finished off with leather accents for added luxury and a marbled terrazzo inspired sole of bright yellow, pink and white, the shoe is truly state-of-the-art.
Additionally, the drop is accompanied with a strikingly rich, yellow terry-cotton towel, featuring AKOG’s signature claim along with the words “NO WORRIES, WE’VE DONE THIS BEFORE”, tying the Mediterranean theme together.
