In 2003, Vans launched the Vault by Vans collection, which serves to create and provide timeless footwear by melding the worlds of high fashion and premium design to Vans' most classic silhouettes. Now referred to as the Vans Vault, the project has brought about collaborations with various brands, such as Marc Jacobs, Undercover, Brain Dead, and more.
This time around, the Vans Vault introduces a state-of-the-art Gore-tex design on the classic Sk8-Hi silhouette. With a GORE-TEX-lined shell printed over its suede upper, the shoe offers durability, with an added touch of luxury. The all black, checkerboard design with a compressed, tonal construction and black leather side stripes draw inspiration from OG style Vans, while bold red "Off the Wall" accents bring a pop of color to an otherwise tame look. The shoe is then finished off with its iconic waffle undersole, perfect for a trip to the city skate park, or a trek through the mud.
