The latest Adidas Consortium concept, the aptly named Workshop, is a modern interpretation of this spirit of continuous innovation and refinement. “A place for exploring the pure story of Adidas Originals through the ultimate expression of creativity and innovation,” as Adidas themselves put it.
The Workshop’s newest offering takes the concept of cross training to new extremes with two reworked silhouettes, the Falcon and the SS2G. The multidisciplinary approach that defines cross training is applied to aesthetics, not just performance, as modern sleekness and the technically inclined bulk of the 1990s converge. Features like chunky midsoles, the modern sleekness of Primeknit, toggle lacing, shell toes, suede paneling, are rendered in a white intensive, neutral palette that’s so practical that it loops all the way around to contemporary chicness.
