It’s kept pretty quiet, but all the companies dealing in cyborg artificial intelligence have some serious in-house psychotherapy programs. Not like, talk to a guy on a couch for an hour; we’re talking like teams of doctors and tests, all that stuff. Apparently there was a real problem with engineers becoming emotionally attached to the programs they were developing, especially for the social models. They were handling finishing the project and being assigned to a new one with the same brainwave response as a romantic break up.
