NikeLab’s Advanced Apparel Exploration 1.0 redefines sportswear essentials. Envisioned as a multi layered system, the AAE collection is meant to work as single unit.
Digital motion mapping was employed to chart fabric cling, airflow, sweat, and teperature in different environments. The data was then merged into a single data set, subsequently translated by Nike’s high tech knitting machines.
The innovative production methods make each AAE garment specifically designed to minimalize bulk while maximizing performance and comfort for the multifaceted demands created by the modern, urban environment.
