With open spaces in cities relegated to rarity/luxury status, the humble rooftop is often the only respite from the coagulated mass of humanity below. Even through the chain link safety fencing, the feeling of the breeze and looking down on all the neon and LED signs from that many stories up offers a feeling of detachment, even in the most crowded neighborhoods.
