School is not out for summer, as New Balance and Norse Projects present a collaborative take on the classic, 1986 runner, the 770, inspired by the University of Copenhagen’s library. The Lucem Hafnia takes its name from the Latin inscription on the university’s main building, and the Latin name for the city of Copenhagen.
The bibliophilic theme isn’t just any old arcane reference to Norse Projects’ hometown. The 530 year old library is one of the oldest in Europe. The library’s interior, filled with leather bound manuscripts and imposing wooden furniture is reflected in the Made in England design of these shoes.
