It seemed like every time something about real life got darker, the kids would adopt some new, bright colored trend. Those striped socks were picked up with clubs and bars in mind, since they would catch the glowing neon accents everywhere, but where they really looked best was on the early morning walks home. They really complimented the multicolored dust in the street, and they caught the sunrise glinting off the black police APCs even better than the neon.
